Upon the invitation of Tia LUz, the meeting was held at their residence at Pasaje Rosario, Paco. The meeting started at 3:00 P.M. with a prayer, invoking GOD's guidance in our planning and preparation as well as His mercy for the repose of the souls of our departed love ones. It was unanimously agreed that I (Winnie) will be the presiding officer. The letter sent out to every member of the clan last July 26, 2000 was read. It served as the Minutes of the first meeting when the idea of the Grand Reunion was conceptualized.

Responses of relatives received thru email, telephone calls and text message were relayed to each other. It is very heart warming to hear from Tita from Texas, Boy, Raul, Manding from California, Aida from New Jersey, Dia from Tampa, Anvi from Chicago, Anna F. Yangco, Cecil and Ate Leni from New York, Jung and Kuya Hil from Canada, Bibot from Malaysia, Jay-ar F.Libunao from Japan, Atchi Ferrie from Binmaley, Kuya Eding, Fr, Roland,etc. We acknowledged with thanks Dodo for creating the [email protected] where every clan member can communicate, and to Boy and Chin for the web page where every one can send pictures etc.
The group reviewed the committees, the membership composition and defined their respective functions. Here are updates on each Committee plans and preparations:

1. Organizatioal Committee - it is the coordinating body for the Grand Reunion. Kuya Greg being the most senior cousin present is designated as Chairperson. Secretariat - Winnie, Randa and Dodo.

2. Directory Committee - each family branch is in the process of gathering data to be consolidated by Chin. In charge per family are:
Fernando branch -still communicating with Gayaga
Crispulo branch - Willie
Epifanio branch - Dodong
Demetrio - Josie/Michelle
Hugo - Randa
Buenaventura - Dodo
Optaciano - Oca volunteered to do the Optaciano branch
Papa Hugo reminded everyone to prepare their respective family tree to be presented by each family at the reunion.

3. Committee on Reception/Registraton - Jeanna is designated as Chairperson. The Committee must determine who are attending so that name tags in the corresponding color code be prepared.

4. Committe on Games - Ernie Yanga is designated Chairperson after exhibiting his talent in this area during the party of Tia Luz last January 9, 2000.

5. Program/Invitation committee - Co-chairpersons: Noli Inumerable and Annie

9:00 Holy Mass to be celebrated by Frs. Rolan, Ruben and Joel

10:00 Introduction per family branch, presentation of respective family trees, picture taking etc.

11:30 Lunch

1:00 - 5:00 P.M. Program and Games

6. Committee on Prizes/Awards - it was unanimously agreed that the "balikbayans" take charge of Prizes. Instead of bringing pasalubongs they should set these as prizes. USA coordinator - Tita and Aida, Overall Coordinator - Bonet Solicitations for other prizes/awards will be done also in Manila.

7. Committee on Physical arrangements/sounds - Chairperson: Dodong Molina (son of ate Elena). Take charge of streamers, sound system, chairs, tables etc.

8. Food Committee - chairperson: Cheche Early pledges: Crispulo branch - two kambing (pinapaitan, calderetta,kilawin),Pangasinan bangus, malaga and shrimps Winnie and Aida - 2 lechons

The chairperson will coordinate with each branch what food they will bring and finalize the menu for the luncheon and merienda

In the next meeting scheduled for September 17, 2000 , 3:00 P.M.at the house of Randa, each Committe shall submit their plans and corresponding budget. It was deemed necessary to organize a Finance Committee to raise funds, allot budget and disburse to respective Committees. This will be taken up in the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
